Originally from Brazil, Laura moved to New Zealand at the end of 2005 to pursue her career in hotel management. It was while she was working at Tauranga's Trinity Wharf hotel she met Lillybeth, who would often come in to do guests’ makeup.
Laura then left that career to study for an International Diploma in Make-up Art Technology. Ever since, Laura has been working as a freelance makeup artist, including the past 4 years in Brazil.
Brazilian women typically like a more ‘made up’ look than Kiwi’s, so Laura is skilled in dramatic makeup and working to a very high standard. Laura also trained in Chicago USA at the Airbrush Academy.

Laura (organised through Lillybeth) did the make up for our wedding for myself and my four bridesmaids. She arrived nice and early to fit us all in and despite it being a very hot Summers day we all looked fresh with full faces of make up at the end of the night. We had a vintage style wedding so didn’t want to look ‘overdone’ and Laura did a great job of making us look classic but sorting out any imperfections.

Laura was our makeup artist for the day and did a fantasic job. She had 5 of us to do, and managed her time spot-on. The products she uses are lovely, and they lasted pretty well out in the elements (it was a hot day). Lipstick needed a touch up after a few hours, however you are provided with a mini lippy to do so. She did a great job at matching the different skin tones & makeup looked nice and natural.
